Hello,

Seen a few topics but are old now, just wondered what options there are for phone repairs in Christchurch? I've seen one called fone surf mentioned, are they still good? There is a Yoobee too now, do they do repairs?

Don;t have apple care or any Vodafone care but its only 3 weeks old.

Thanks

You haven't told us what phone you have. In any case, if it's 3 weeks old, it should be under warranty so talk to the manufacturer.

Yoobee are the Christchurch Apple repairer afaik, their service depot is in Birmingham drive area, don't bother with the one on Blenheim Road.

Sorry it was brief, its an iPhone 5 but it was accidental damage, the screen is smashed.

Emailed Yoobee, they said its $70 just to look at it!

Ah okay. If you go for a 3rd party repairer, watch out that they use genuine replacement part - I had my galaxy s2 screen replaced after dropping it, but the replacement screen didnt have an oleophobic coating and it ended up cracking a few weeks later (while in my pocket)

I used a place called Fixxed - its just above the Ancestral restaurant on Riccarton Rd.

Very professional - actually Yoobee themselves told me to go there!

The force is strong with this one!

Just looked at one called PartSurf, quoted $280 for the screen, others like Fixxed and Yoobee are around $350/$380. Said they do overnight repair and its Apple approved parts and comes with 12 month warranty. Anyone used them?
