Just received my first CDMA to GSM eText and wanted to share my joy.

I've recently joined an organisation that are big users of eText and I was on the verge of moving from 021 so I could get them. It was causing me some grief as I'm also looking to converge pda and mobile and wasn't convinced that Teleocm's one option, Kyocera, had enough grunt to run my ACT! app and I'm told that they won't be releasing a CDMA version of the Treo. Now my options are expanded somewhat.

Good on you Telecom and Vodafone - nice to see you playing together nicely.

You heard the Treo CDMA will not be coming? Hmmm. I saw one, branded Sprint (part of the TNZ x Sprint deal) a month ago, and back them the official word was that they would be coming out.

That was the response to a link I sent to your Convergence 2004 article - on the basis that they're constantly testing lots of different hardware but not all come to market.

Ok... The person who gave me the information is actually resposible for testing, certification and selection of devices. I'll follow up later.
