After some new batteries for Uniden phone..  but prices are crazy!

Looks like a couple of AAA Nickel Metal Hydride 1.2v 650aH (or close) wrapped together would do the trick.

Anyone know a source for any at a decent price ?

Thanks.

I've previously rebuilt them with batteries with a higher capacity from Jaycar, but, the last ones I just brought on Trademe. Have lasted for several years.

Edit -  $3-$4 seems the going rate.

Might be time for a new phone, maybe?  They aren't that expensive and at that age there's a good chance the buttons or something else will fail before too long.  Good luck!

LOL we don't get many calls!!  Where possible I use the TEAC coded phone - it's so much easier to hear without the compressed-sounding audio.

Thanks for the link though, had a good look around,...  couldn't find their shipping costs but assume not free.  (By then I'd bought the Trade me ones).

Hopefully they won't be a fizzer...http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1083880336

Look exactly like some dirt cheap ones I got that were actually about 250mAh and seemed to be nicad not nimh. Same brand, slightly different label.

Every listing on that aliexpress page said free shipping under each picture so not sure why it wasnt clear? Also its really quick from china to NZ at the moment, have had some 6 day deliveries to the PO Box, that is quicker than half of the trademe sellers seem to even get around to sending something.
