Would anyone know a possible release date for this phone in NZ?

It won't be available anywhere for a few months yet, be well into 3rd or more likely 4th quarter before Vodafone bring it here (at a guess).

The comparison to the N95 is interesting, most Nokia S60 phones are "like" the N95 in the way the 6220 classic is.

No wifi on 6220 classic but does have 900MHz UMTS are 2 obvious spec differences.

Most mid to high end Nokias will have UMTS900 from now on though won't they? I'm surprised we haven't seen a quad band UMTS handset yet.

I just had a look on the europe nokia site and found information about it, supports these bands:

  • WCDMA 900/2100
  • GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
