What are your experiences of this phone cause I am thinking of upgrading to this from the Motorola v3x RAZR

I had one, I like it, but the design was a little dumb.

I found that the back of the top flip got scratched easy because it would rub.

Personally, I'd pass, especialyl considering Motorola is moving away (or so thats my interpretation) from the mobile buisness, and is going to focus more on them enterprise stuff (2ways etc)

Damn, apart from the buzzing ear piece noise that occurs in most Motorola phones when making calls in 2g mode, i'm gonna miss it if they stop making their phones.

They have such a nice, easy to use interface and usually large screens.

Yeah, I'm a fan of Motorola Flip-Phones too. The keyboard is very responsive and solid with decent-sized keys that don't creak when you press them like the Sony-Ericsson I had. The inside screen is well protected when closed (unlike my Panasonic which rubbed against the keyboard), and the predictive text is the best I have encountered. All-in-all a very robust phone with excellent mechanical design and intuitive user interface.

I have a KRZR K1 because I don't care about 3G and just love how long it lasts on one charge, except if I start playing MP3 tracks...

yeah, unfortunately, i liked the V9, but because of the bad design on the backing, all they had to do was add a little piece, or a bigger piece of that little plastic strip and the problem would have been fixed.

Although, in saying this, i felt the phone became too straight when opened, it didn't really curve to my face.

To be Honest

Motorola has the worse OS . I was so frustrated using it. The interface was so hard to get use to because the menus were all over the place.

I never had any issues with it? doesnt mean it didnt need a better layout, but just means i didnt have any issues with getting used to it.

then again, i went through over 24 phones last year, so i got pretty good at adapting to different environments.

what! 24 phones! I had the same phone (an embarrassing Nokia 1100) for 4+ years. It would take me 96 years to have had that many phones if I used them at your rate....wow!

haha yeah, the first 5 phones werent my fault. they were brand new motorola's that just died.
im unbelievably careful with all of my electronics, and yet my brand new laptop just died :(

but that aside, yeah, i went through a lot.

I get bored with them, that sthe problem.
thats where the iPhone was good, because while they were only adding very simple and stupid "feaures' with each firmware update, it was always something to look forward to. i never got bored of the iphone, i just found it hard to keep replying to 10+ emails a day on it, being completely touch.

im findingi t much easier with the Nokia as far as having a real keyboard, but i do miss the iphone UI
