ajobbins: The T-Mobile website says they use 1700/1900 together for UMTS - which means any phones sold for NZ/AU markets won't work on 3G

T-Mo AWS uses 1700 / 2100 .  New 3g deployments are  1900.  Most Telecom NZ smartfones do the 1900 band

My daugther is using a VF purchased Nexus S over there on TMO and it works fine with 3G.
