NikT: I think you'd be quite satisfied with the N8 if you see one going reasonably cheap, the move from a resistive screen to a capacitive one alone would be well worth it. It is also outstanding for music and photography. These sorts of feature-focused smartphones are a bit of a lost art.


Thanks Nik. Will be on the look out for one, maybe down the road in a year, just around the corner to when I go EU, it may be cheaper to grab one off trademe. Lol.  I really prefer a feature focused smartphone if thats what its called oposed to the candy bar style iphone type phones in the wider market today.

Yep, Symbian Belle isn't too bad.  The camera is very good, better than the 920 even. 

I agree on your comments also on the capacitive screen V the resistive screen.

I have an 808 which I use occasionally for the camera. There are still some enthusiasts keeping it alive with a 3rd party app store and custom firmware.
