Ive found a signifigant difference in the adhiesive side between various ones. Cheap one had it so uneven that it had banding on some angles, and a slight haze. The other one which was not much more is invisible when on. Thats on my note 3 - I got one for the note 4 but it was horrible at the edges so I pulled if off.

one thing I have found is that the added thickness of the screen protector makes using the phone thru the sview cover very unreliable. i have to push the entire end of my finger across it instead of a light touch of the fingertip.

I always use them now, get mine from aliexpress ranging from $4 - $12US.
Currently have it on my z3 compact (back and front).  Never had a broken screen.  Another reason I use them is to get the best price when I on sell them on trademe, just take the protector off and it's like new :)
The glass ones are way better than the cheap plastic ones that feel awful.

I have a mate that got my old nexus 5 and he keeps dropping his phone, the screen protector has saved his phone a few times, he is currently up to protector number 3 and I purchased another 3 for replacements for his phone.
