how big is the NZ phone cable market?
These cables are reverese engineered clones and not made by the phone manufacturer, is that right??

cables ought to be obclete in a world of IR and BT.. :-( it's just damn frustrating as a consumer.

jpwise is great in this help he gives through this forum, but i wish they'd fix up their website to include most of what he's posted here @ geekzone.

LOL, a fair call with regard to the website. If I get time I'll look into seeing if something can be done. Ideally an online KB, or Wiki style system. If it ever happens I'll let you guys know.

I got a cable for the 8100 from ebay cost me $25 NZD including shipping. Works good as but... i brought Snapmedia software and you can only hold 3 ringtones on the phone. I know you can hold more as i have had some from pxt messages. That cable ringtones are stored in a seperate place.

Pretty dumb if you ask me, cant send or shift the ringtones once on the phone. If anyone knows any way around this please let me know

your phone comes with a web page dedicated to your phone it's in Xtra where 200 pics can be stored. pics sent by you or received on your phone are auto saved there. If you go online pics from your phone in the camera menu it goes online to that page, select the pic you want and save to wallet. Telecom have said this a free service.

Logan It's a strange system telecoms got going here.
You have to be an Xtra account holder (it's free to sign up) and go to the photo galley on a pc, where your pics are stored and select the pics you want on your phone and put them in the album then go on your phone and go online pics and upload from there easy!!!!! NOT.

Hey, never heard back from telecom probably because I just rang up and they told me $199 so the other guy stuffed me up, bit pissed @ that. Just wondering can someone please do me a deal? Maybe $120 or $150 or something for the cable and NZ datapilot? Cheers
