Oh... Big no... Although everyone around here knows that there are Telecom and Vodafone posters in the forums, these are not usually easy to identify. Better not to have an "official" voice. Well, you are now an official voice...

Is this press release out? Haven't seem it and I subscribe to the PR notification list...

Oh and Im not an official voice as such just this information is not embargoed so I dont see a problem letting you know! Apparently the only way it is going to be promoted is that "Customers who have attempted to send a Photo Message to other networks before will receive a SMS notifying them this now possible."

Well, sometimes announcing your affiliation to the company means that other users will know who to contact with private messages from now on.

Welcome here anyway!

I think I make the wrong statement. I am not saying you can't tip of things coming here. You are most welcome to do this.

My comments were only to the fact that no on openly disclose their association with a company or another. This helps create trust and works well. But of course anyone can say who they work for. There's no reason not to if you wish!

As I said before, welcome here, and feel free to post and help other users too!

inter network MMS is NOT WORKING at present.
It was working, I have had random messages come through (easy number) but currently is down to iron out a few bugs.

It seems from my own testing, it's working great on standard devices which communicate with the mms server (A nokia 6225, Samsung) and retrieve the message.

Lightsurf which is used by the newer hyundai's. and the Sanyo's screwed up nasitly (got either a legacy (web retrieval) message or it just came through screwed. (I think the lightsurf gallery could not display it when the phone connected though I got the SMS alert.)

Lightsurf?
Lightsurf is like a online photo gallery, it can be accessed via mini HTML (phone) or full HTML (WEB Browser) and allows up to 250 images. This is used instead of sending the message to the handset directly.
Lightsurf phones are simply sent a text message by Telecom with a weblink which the mobile phone goes to and simply displays the image..

Handsets that use full MMS are Hyundai TX95c, Nokia, and Other Samsungs.
Lightsurf is used by Hyundai TX115c, Samsung A680, Sanyo 5600, Sanyo 7400, Sanyo 8100 or Sanyo 8200

I'm interested to know if they will resize the images down like voda NZ currently does when sent to handsets other than Nokia (they use a nokia MMS server of course)
My i'mate is more than capable of getting 640x480 images but they are scaled down terribly by VodaNZ. Australia sent them through as-is with images at fill size which was really nice.

obviously the lightsurf phones will rescale but I wonder about the others.
