joker97: for you, iphone 4s. hands down. don't ask why ...
tdgeek: While the iPhone4 is a great phone, the Galaxy s2 is a newer phone with dual core and bigger screen. As the 4S is coming, the iPhone 4 is cheap at $899 />

You and I must have way different ideas as to what is cheap $899 for an obsolete fone is way too expensive..
McDave:
Thanks to Apple's full ownership of the product and design choices: iPhone4S not only has a dual-core CPU but also has dual-core graphics which comprehensively outperfoms all Android phones but more importantly
Wade: In my case, I have gone down the Checkrom path which is virtually indifferent to standard gingerbread/Samsung touchwiz. Where it differs is it runs faster, adds a few tweaks like volume button for camera, 5 buttons in dock etc.
Also these custom rom's can be fine tuned by mixing and matching kernals and modems. I have seen massive (as in 50%+) improve in battery life over stock while retaining full factory functionality

You haven't really quoted a link, the Nexus Prime and GS2 both have quad core graphics and on any browser that's not the stock, the sunspider tests are a lot better
Unfortunately, since they are two different eco systems, it's hard to compare real world GPU performance. I just wish more IOS and Android games and vice versa came out between both platforms, with benchmarks.
Maybe Quake 3 benchmarks on both would give a good result

I've done exactly the same with the 5 button ADW/Cyanogen taskbar and changing to a physical camera button. Have you got the volume button as unlock screen too? That's probably the change I've found most useful
To the original poster, if you drop your phone, check this video(to all those who don't like seeing hardware being dropped...don't watch it. I cringed at each test..I'm lucky I haven't dropped my iPhone 4 or Galaxy S 2 yet, in fact I never dropped my Galaxy S original either, touch wood!)

Sorry I thought this was common knowledge...http://tiny.cc/le9va. I can only find old references to Quake 3 which put a jailbroken 2008 Gen1/2 iPod Touch at 25FPS and a Galaxy I at around 40, no A4 or A5 based figures though.
When it comes to graphics, Cambridge is good but Oxford is better though, back on-topic, why the Galaxy Nexus (allegedly) drops back to an OMAP4460 with it's (comparatively) choked memory bus and weaker single-core SGX540 is bizarre. Apparently it's due to Exynos compatibility issues - when is a platform, not a platform?
