Anyone have any idea if Vodafone plan to release some new Samsung Galaxy handsets soon?
Right, what are my rights?
I purchased a new Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) on March 13 from a Vodafone dealership. Didn't start using it immediately as I was waiting for a cover (as a few people on here have suggested). Finally got it today. Great, except I have now noticed there's small discolouration on the bottom right of the screen, most noticeable when the screen is all right.
I haven't been back to the dealership yet - will do so tomorrow, but I'm expecting a straight swapout as this handset obviously has an issue. Or is there a timeframe for that which has a cutoff?
I suggest you go back to the store with a friendly attitude, a smile, speak to the staff nicely, get them on your side. Someone who likes you wants to help you. In all likelihood they'll do the right thing.
If they don't then come back and ask about your rights.
All good, I was just trying to find out what my rights were if they don't want to swap it out. I'll give them a chance first and see what they say. Hopefully they're not too busy tomorrow...(tomorrow marks 3 weeks since I purchased it).
I haven't taken it back just yet - still trying to figure out how to sync the photos on my device to the cloud!
On my Windows Phone this was all done automatically, but on this one it doesn't seem to be :( how can I upload the images on my device to the Secure Folder (I think that's what it's called)? I've even tried logging in from my PC but the pics (screenshots) aren't uploading and I can't find an option to do it manually.
"The cloud" is a marketing term. I think you want to upload your photos to an online service.
The dropbox app lets you sync to dropbox. I prefer to use Dropsync, which gives you much more control. I sync all kinds of things, like my password database, and when I was on honeymoon in Thailand I used it to sync many GB of photos up to Dropbox.
I think I got it - I managed to move the screenshots to my Micro SD using the Samsung File Explorer (?).
Handle9: Google photos has sync for photos. It works very well. Cloud sync isn't really a Samsung service it's a google thing.
This. Google Photos is great. All your photos backed up to your Google Account. Ignoring your immediate need (which will be covered), you should use this in case you lose your phone!
