A heads up for future travellers; just moved to Melbourne, thought I would stay with VF as I was with them in NZ.

Well after 2 days of constant pings of >1000ms & d/l speeds of <0.2 Mb I had to switch to Telstra.. Couldn't even call to complain as calls were dropping . Trying to get a refund for the $32 I wasted..

Quick google search confirms hundreds / thousands of similar cases & telstra employees said it was well known..

Hey all, heading to Melbourne tomorrow for the long weekend. Thought of grabbing an Optus SIM (hopefully for $2) then put $10 and go on the $2/day all you can eat option.

Can anyone confirm the sim will be $2 and not a starter pack $30 up front cost?
