Is it just me or does TV1 + (the old TVNZ 7) have no EPG? I thought that would be a relatively simple affair ot sort out.

You would think, just needs a very slight effort on the copy and paste over at tivo

Not sure if this is related to Tivo not having an EPG for TV1 Plus 1, but the MHEG5 EPG transmission is showing zero descriptions/metadata for shows, I've been meaning to tweet @TVOneNZ about this, but it may be related.

Maybe a good thing. Look in freeview forum under epg madness.

In saying that i'd had no problems with recordings so far, set it to first run only, and it hasn't recorded repeats.

You need to do a full retune to get the EPG for tv1+1 on a regular freeview TV, which sucks really, because many people wouldn't know to do this. But makes no difference to the tivo.

No, you don't. Or at least not for all TVs. Both my TVs (a 2008 model and a 2011 model) picked up the new channel and EPG data etc auto-magically, without any retuning being needed. Ditto at my sister's house (with different TV models).

Both my sony tv's needed a full retune, and both use the official freeview EPG. But the EPG for 1+1 is no great loss anyway as I have yet to watch it. That is what a tivo is for. Th eonly time I may use it is if there is a programming conflict with different channels I want to watch at the same time.
