Had a power cut last night and when my TiVo powered back on it applied a service update too.

Yeah same, really interested to know what the changes are.

rugrat: Wonder what changes been made?

Mine updated to 11.3b6-01-2-663 on about 28th August also. It froze when I when to the system info page, so I had to reboot it anyway.

From the TiVo forums:
Supposedly it has just updated security certificates in order to fix issues with transferring shows to windows machines.
The certificates are to do with an issue where Tivo Desktop etc just stopped working and transfers became impossible. It seems they outsourced some codewriting and someone left a cookie which expired on the specific date of 16 Feb 3013. They patched it and sent out a fix to get around it, but I assume this is the "proper" fix.
