Is it just me or does this not make any sense (taken from http://www.mytivo.co.nz/whatistivo/accessories/wirelessadaptor/)

Have a wireless internet connection in your home? Many homes do but few have it reaching into the living room. With the TiVo® Wireless Adaptor you can access your internet service without needing to run an Ethernet cable from the study to the living room.

It makes sense to the layperson. Let's say you have a wireless network, how is your TiVo going to connect to it in the lounge with this adapter?

do you have wireless home network? yes
Do you have a point to access your home network (wireless or otherwise) in your living room? no

luckily you get a wifi adapter with your new Tivo box so you won't need to run an ethernet cable through walls.

It's worded a little oddly, but makes sense to me.

No, no... Read it again:

"Have a wireless internet connection in your home? Many homes do but few have it reaching into the living room."

Errr... If the wireless internet connection is not reaching into the living room, having a wireless adapter won't help then, righ?

I think they mean to say

"Have a wired internet connection in your home? Many homes do but few have it reaching into the living room. With the TiVo? Wireless Adaptor you can access your internet service without needing to run an Ethernet cable from the study to the living room."

In which case adding a wireless option to TiVo would make sense because then you can extend the reach of your network without having to string a cable, as implied by their own text.

although if you only have a wired network, not a wireless one, in your home then the wireless adapter isn't going to do much.

You need a wireless network for it to connect to :P

It is worded wierd.

Now updated.

To enjoy the full features of your TiVo? media device, you need to connect it to the internet. But who wants ugly blue network cables in the lounge room? Wireless internet access is the best way to go, and with the TiVo Wireless Adaptor, getting there is as simple as plug and play!

"The lounge room" sounds weird. Would you say "the kitchen room"?
