Interesting. Cheers.

It's good software, and is the only way to tell how much diskspace the tivo is using. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it working and finding the tivo etc, but once setup it is worth it.

Do I still need to purchase the HNP to "unlock" anything?

No, it's fully usable out of the box, (only have to give it enough time for the thing to activate properly, which gives it the guide and online ability etc).

The hone network package is just that, it's an add on if you want to do any networking stuff, like copy files off, play files on another TIVO in the house etc.  It's not needed at all if you just want to use it like a basic PVR and not copy/move files off it.

You get the web interface for free with the base unit, that doesn't require the home networking package either.

Thanks. But, I was actually referring to kmttg (unless that's what you meant). When I run the install it's asking me for the MAK, which I don't have and isn't visible on the System Information screen.
