Hi Spong:  oh my goodness I an flabbergasted at what I have read about all the work the 'community' group of volunteers have been doing for many years now.  I am so grateful to you all, thank you.....

I have a clearer understanding of the history and the process of what is happening around our Tivos and the difference between motherships.  Thank you for that Spong.

I have also just read the TiVo repairs in Australia link you supplied - wow.

May I ask you Spong - if you hear of any technician people closer to my home in Hastings I would be really thankful to hear.  Because I am not able to do the soldering etc and reading about how the update needs SATA cables and that you have to open the Tivo - I would prefer if someone else does that.

I am content to wait until all is finalized from the Oz/Tivo mothership and then have someone reconfigure my TIVO.

If I cannot find anyone near me would you be willing to do it for me Spong - I read you a willing to do a few yourself.  I would be more than happy to reimburse you for parts and labour/time and of course shipping.

Let me know if this is a possibility please, and I wish there was someway to thank all the others involved - perhaps you can convey this for me.
