The help desk is run out of Australia and some times they forget to change their profile to make it look like it's from someone in New Zealand.

BTW got an email from Tivo myself explaning why some channels can't be received, apparently there is a software bug that stops certain frequencies been avaliable for use, they are in contact with Tivo in the USA regarding this.

It's too bad they haven't got enought guts to come out and say that there is a problem

You should still be covered by the CGA after the warranty runs out, so I wouldn't worry about that.

We are in the north waikato, and receive the signal off Te Aroha, for us TV33, TV Rotorua, and infor-Rotorua. I know we can receive these channels as the tv-tuner in the PC which is hooked to the same aerial receives tem just fine

The last two are analog so hardly apply to a device with DVB-T tuners.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

They do have to abide by NZ laws. One of the reasons you pay tax and GST on the goods, is for that consumer protection, which is supposed to protect against poor quality products in NZ. It is probably one good reason to pay for the tivo over 3 years, so you do have some leverage over telecom, incase anything goes wrong with it outside the warranty. You obviously don't expect to have to buy a new tivo after just 2 years, that wouldn't be an acceptable life IMO.

Sorry, 100% sure that they are digital as they quite happily show up in my PC tuner in the DVB-T, and besides Tivo sent out a message about these channels been added, why would they do that if they were analogue?
