We are in the north waikato, and receive the signal off Te Aroha, for us TV33, TV Rotorua, and infor-Rotorua. I know we can receive these channels as the tv-tuner in the PC which is hooked to the same aerial receives tem just fine

The last two are analog so hardly apply to a device with DVB-T tuners.

Sorry, 100% sure that they are digital as they quite happily show up in my PC tuner in the DVB-T, and besides Tivo sent out a message about these channels been added, why would they do that if they were analogue?

I think that you will have to do a channel rescan if you can't find them in the channel list. Warning.. If you do a rescan you loose your Season Pass settings. This is why I haven't done it here in Auckland. would be too bad if Prime was on the TiVo EPG..

You only loose the season pass if you choose to remove all the channels 1st, which would be stupid, much smarter just to add *new* channels found, as far as doing a re-scan, It was the very 1st thing done otherwise I wouldn't have been posting here or asking tivo why the new channels can't be found.

Tell that to the guy who sites next to me . He got sick of the message every day that said you have new channels in your line up but they never showed up as they don't in mine either. He did a rescan found the new channels but lost his season pass ..

The channels dropping (on your first unit) is a known issue (at least in Auckland I think, may even be region specific going by their status page: http://support.mytivo.co.nz/index.php?action=news&newsid=2)

"Some customers may be affected in the Auckland region by a repeating channel scan, caused by new channels launching in the area. Our Operations Team is working closely with TiVo, Inc. to isolate the source of this error and stop the channel scans from happening. Thank you for your patience in this matter, we will update you as soon as possible"

I guess if you're not in Auckland then yeah you probably had a fault with it

It's been happening to me for a few months (Akl CBD), one email to their support site (http://support.mytivo.co.nz/index.php?action=ask) got me an email back the next day, apparently they're working on it but yeah - been a few months - hopefully it's not too much longer

Another poster said not to re-scan with a deletion first: that's good advice, just re-scan and add channels. It's a pain (mine didn't record Wimbledon highlights some days as the channels dropped, *sob*) but hopefully they fix it soon

Just wanted to add I've had nothing but good things from that "email an expert", but I sympathise with ya TC, must be frustrating

The unit was faulty they have replaced it 3rd one now and this one is fine
only when i record 2 channels at once the sound was breaking a few times.

They siad it was an issue with the unit it wasnt the channels dropping out it was the picture as it did it on taping too and then when you rewind it was fine..

NOW we have to set the channels each day as they have a problem with the progamming they are tryin to fix in australia here and the US apparently

so fingers crossed now
