It was for the ex GF who would have gone up to $240 so even with the courier cost it should come in under that. It is opened and tried out but essentially it's brand new.
Someone who got a freebie on a 24 month contract before deciding they wouldn't actually use it as they have Telstra.

There are a few but this was the only one I saw starting at $200, most were starting at $250 and one was buy now for $499

Only 2 bids on the one I got.

By the large number on trademe, I suspect many people have got this free tivo deal and are now dumping them for some extra cash, as they already possibly have sky.

first week with sky
it has on line programming

and its great no sound glitches. no picture glitches no over probs like I had with the tivo

ONLY PROB too many things to watch and ill become a couch ptoato lol

And there is a keystroke combo for the remote that will force it to go to the USB stick to boot from software on a thumbdrive.

Are you talking about the Tivo. How does that help then? You take out the drive and copy the os to the usb drive? Then what?

I keep a copy of current firmware on my PC. Simply put it on to a stick to enable booting.
Then go to system setup menu and select a Factory reset. That does a complete format of the (new replacement) HDD
Sure you lose all your settings and recordings, but as least you're back in business.

That's pretty useful! I didn't know the TiVo would boot from a USB drive.
