It's good to see a major 'traditional' brand being first cab off the rank in producing a mirrorless full frame interchangeable lens camera if for no other reason than that it might chivvy Canikon to get off their lazy behinds and get with the 21st century.
The SL has some attractions but the price is likely to be prohibitive, even as a professional who can expense it before tax etc. The body price will probably not be far adrift from the top Canikon offerings, but the lens prices will be steep: only the 24-90 will be available at launch (although M, T and R lenses can be used, T with no adaptor) and indicative pricing for that being circa US$4500 alone.
I'm making noises to see if I can get to have a play with one when a demo unit turns up, but I suspect this may be a camera that waiting for the second generation version is the wisest course.
