Man I love your macros...

Mind sharing what lens and settings you used for these (incl. the bee earlier?)

Thanks,

Guillaume

Headphone above iso6400 f2.8 1/200
Bee was iso400 f10 1/200
Earlier flying bee was iso800 f10 1/1000

Used a Tamron 90mm macro for these. I usually shoot with a mpe-65 but have recently got the old tamron out of the bag to do some natural light macro.

Thanks.  Yes this is mix of three exposures to construct this final image.  I'm pretty impressed with the HDR technique, and believe it can assist in some instances, especially if you can restrain yourself from going overboard with it Wink

Really like the HDR look on that pic because it is not too extreme but it still give the boat a really good feel.
Funny I was reading one of Scott Kelby's book (Digital Photography Vol.4) where he talks about HDR and give an example of a pic taken on a bota, a bit similar to that one. He then explains how the different textures and colors on a boat work really well with this technique...

Thanks.  Yeah it was a great place, first time I'd been there.  I had one shot at getting to that location, so no control over time and weather etc.  (Was sooo windy!).  That shot is a little wider than it displays here but no worries.  Yours look awesome!
