WVGA is as low as mine seems to go? And it has 30 as an option. Files seem pretty damn small to me, will have to look at the sizes but a 32 gig card didnt fill up with a days use off and on.

 

Certainly when the camera is set to the low res that says its 30fps - the resulting video file is 60fps - kinda annoying.

I am thinking this might be the only way around it - actually found we had a webcam here at work and we are going to give it a try shortly. The sample we did was at least quite a compact video file.

Yeah it will skip the step of transferring files off later, and you get to control the storage quality/type.

I'd question going too crap in quality/resolution levels.  Past a point the image is of no use. 

Similar discussions around the use of security cameras - either go good or don't bother, as you'll only be able to work out what pixel stole the other giant pixel etc.

Samsung NX1 and NX500 are the only ILC which do HEVC, you can pick them up very cheap from Amazon.com

And they'll give you *very* good video quality.
