So now we have the autofocus extenders, its all nice and in focus, but there is still the issue in that the white under the finding is still lit less than the highlights on the metal, so no amount of changing the levels gets it on straight white without it dissappearing.
I am assuming I need something to put them on that is lit from underneath or to lift it up somehow (clear acylic work ok) and get more light on the background than the finding.
Its not a biggie right now since the pics I have taken are enough for a "this is what you are getting" shot for people in the trade, but it would be nicer to get nicer ones later to match the finished stuff on the site for being on clearcut white backgrounds.
timmmay: You need to read the book: "Light: Science and Magic". I have it around here somewhere. You probably need a light box too.
We have a acrylic box which fits in a copy stand which came from an acquired company that I have been using with 2 lamps with daylight CFL's in it. The only other box I have is a 600mm fabric cube which is totally impractical for things this small. Is that an offer to lend the book?
