We're moving to Wellington soon, and want to stay connected to events / things going on. How do NZ folks typically find out about things happening soon?

Is there any apps / websites we should get ourselves acquainted with?

Pop me any suggestions, eager to give them a go.

Nope. Nothing ever happens in New Zealand.

There is no sarcasm either.

oh one more question!  think it'll be easier to figure out when we're there but do Wellington folks typically hang out at certain areas on...  weekday nights and weekends?  have a couple of colleagues doing working holidays in NZ but they mention it's pretty quiet generally and people don't really head out much (i'm inclined to believe this is untrue)

Ah - I am old so ymmv but sports clubs are popular as are the breweries, but there isn’t really a pub culture like the UK.

Miaow is good - was there Saturday for Jon Toogood and that was good.

Covid + WFH killed some of the nightlife. We're in the middle of a deep, deep recession, so that's killing what's left.
