I am currently using nzepg, but they stopped providing HDTV tags a few weeks back :(
Are there any other XML EPG sites around? As far as I can see, nzepg is the last that offers downloadable XML EPG's.

I know you can still get the HD tags from a DVB-T MHEG-5 feed... but I would rather not go down that road as it would mean starting a VM of Linux every time I wanted to update my EPG (Mac OS X here)

The HDTV tags stopped when the Freeview website stopped providing their XML feeds.

They pulled the plug intentionally. This from their website;

"""Listings are provided to Freeview by our broadcast partners. Freeview is licensed to reproduce the data for use in our online TV Guide but is not authorised to re-transmit or make the data available to third parties. The broadcasters have changed the way their online listings data is made available to Freeview which means that an xml feed is no longer available."""

I see.

But isn't it counter productive for them...? if more people have access to the xml feed then more people will know when something is on and more likely to watch there programs...
Seems kinda silly of them.

Isn't EPGCollector written in .NET, you may be able to get it working via mono on mac.

Thought about trying it, but I don't think mono supports external devices such as my dvb-t stick does it?

Besides I had a quick look at the freeview tv guide and it's pretty much as good as the XML, might try scape that and re-format it for EyeTV.

pretty sure EPGCollector uses the directshow libraries, which is a windows only thing.

There is also https://sourceforge.net/projects/mheg2xmltv/
which works (for the most part) on linux.
But this gives pretty much the same data as the freeview site does, and I feel up for a challenge so im going to try scape the data, then adding the movie/show tags and other info I can find via tvrage and the like API's.

If im successful ill put it up on github and post it.

xmltv-proc-nz is a script which takes an XMLTV file input and manipulates and adds more metadata;

Thanks hads, will see if I can integrate it with my php script when it's done.
Is that was http://nzepg.org uses with there xml epg?

From what I can tell it grabs some extra data from the bbc site, is that how nzepg.org get "Click" and other BBC programs to show up in those early morning airing on BBC news?

get a 'mate' with a 'nix or windows box to run an ftp/http server serving the file they generate :-)
