I have a mobile coffee van and I am looking at adding a shopping cart option to sell coffee beans, Keep cups and moving forward some other products.
I want to accept credit/debit cards and prefer to use a NZ company as opposed to a overseas solution that charge large fees.

What do people suggest ?

Do you mean you want to host a website that sells beans and such, or sell them in person? If you mean online, do you have a website already made? If so, and it's with one of the SaaS type websites, they should have a recommended provider.

I have my own website and it's just used for booking me and some about.
Want to expand and do some online products.
I have no idea what SaaS type website is 😀

You seem to be implying that only the overseas providers charge large fees, but last time I checked Stripe was cheaper and easier to use than most of the payment gateways in NZ.

We use Stripe, it seems reasonably cheap, easy to set up and reliable, there is a Woocommerce plugin for Wordpress if you've taken that route, and likely for other platforms as well.

I've used Stripe, and PayPal in the past. All though I only used PayPal when targeting the US market. Their APIs are well documented and because they are popular there is plenty of information online about getting it set up if you are rolling your own site.

But if you are going to start selling stuff online then I would for a start look at using one of the online "build your own shopping site" services like Shopify to start with.

SaaS: "Software as a Service". You could consider Shopify or a cloud hosted Wordpress site as an example of SaaS
