I can see support possibly being one, but Hamish is good at replying to emails when I have contacted him
If you are actually in partnership with Hamish (as per existing posts..) why are you creating another brand and more confusion?
There are already multiple names for these bulbs overseas from resellers and from posts I have seen, people are getting confused about their origin.
Why not just promote the LimitlessLED brand in New Zealand?

Example:
For the starter pack:
Your cost for the GZ special: $97.00 incl shipping
Your cost usually: $98.00 + shipping
LimitlessLED: $94.16 incl shipping

Fair call, but we are not limited to just Hamish's stuff. As stated previously, this is the first of a few products we will be selling (and installing as well as providing support). We are only 20 days old at the moment so the product list will be growing to include Bar lights (military grade), T5, T8, and T12 Tube alternatives for corporate, and strip lighting for bars, clubs. Wifi Lights is making another name for his bulbs. It is the name of my registered company.

We are offering better savings on the bigger packages also. Not to talk Limitless down at all, but we can offer better savings on bigger packages, more products (in the coming weeks) and installation in the Auckland region as well as first hand support over the phone. We also do free delivery more often than not in Auckland.

And finally, if you buy them on LimitlesLED website, you're actually looking at paying more like $106. I'm not too sure how you worked your out. Maybe not adding GST or USD-NZD

Are you looking at doing special LED fittings? This is really what is needed with LED lights. Retrofitted LEDs in downlighters in existing fittings for new builds which require better insulation is quite a big thing. Currently the ones that get imported with special fittings are every expensive.

I'm yet to get prices but we are looking at getting some 1200+ Lmn Downlight LEDs. They are the fully enclosed unit, can come with a transformer attached. 12cm and 25cm. Fully Wifi Controlled as per other items we stock.

That price was from the end of the checkout process and included GST and I converted to NZD,

Cant wait to see the expanded range, would be cool to get some DIY packages to create your own Ambilight for the tv or other custom situations

Compare that to LIFX or Philips HUE. LIFX $70 per bulb plus months and months of waiting for them to make the batches. Or Philips HUE - $101 per Bulb (and they are only 40W equivalent).

This isn't true at all. LIFX bulbs are $79 USD sure but they don't require a bridge unit or anything and bulbs can be individually addressed, and they are actually mere days to weeks away from rolling off the production line (being safety and radio certified now). The Philips Hue bulb costs $79 NZD a bulb from Apple with free shipping (the starter pack is $297 NZD from Apple with free shipping).

I'm a bit late to the party but just bought the Harmony Ultimate (which can control Hue bulbs) so this looked interesting. Originally, you said these were created in NZ. I'm OK with this since you said the products were designed in Tauranga.

Were the LimitlessLEDs actually designed in NZ or not?

Hey there,

I am one of the kickstarter LIFX backers, still waiting for my item but i'm sure it will be good when it gets here.
I wouldnt mind a color starter pack with screw bulbs and 2 spare bulbs if you still doing cost + 10%?

Limitless starter pack is $57 now, so a bit of 'early adopters tax here'.

How many remotes can the lamps handle? Im thinking of getting one for by each door where there is currently a lightswitch, and one for the coffee table so thats 5 already, plus one or 2 wifi gateways (so the flatmate can control them from their lan) and im talking 7. Doable?

Any luck getting these bulbs into retail stores? I'm thinking the key to mass adoption is for people to see them in the high foot traffic retailers? I love my Philips Hue, but they're only ever going to be a niche product while they're being retailed by Apple, and Apple only (in NZ).
