Looks like Skinny combos got more data in the past few days. I joined last week on the $26 plan, it got me 1GB data and 300 minutes per 30 days. I checked the pricing page today and it's now 1.5GB and the same 300 minutes. Their $16 combo is up to 1GB of data, with 100 minutes, and their $9 combo is 30 NZ minutes and 100MB data. Everything other than the $9 plan is rollover minutes and data.

So I'll probably stay on the $26 plan for month or two, build up some credit there, then switch to the $9 plan. Or maybe I switch to the $16 plan at the end of this cycle. Seems simple enough to switch, I think you just remove the current combo then choose the new one. Can anyone from Skinny please confirm that this will let your current combo run until its scheduled end date then start the new combo at the start of the next cycle?

To date Skinny works just like Spark. It looks like my cell costs will drop from $39 a month to probably around $16 per month on average, probably less if I can switch back and forward between the $9 plan.

Nice, Just checked the Skinny page and they are advertising 1GB on the $16 combo and 1.5GB on the $26 combo. Until 4 September.

Hopefully She-who-watches-all-the-Facebook-videos can accrue a few GB between now and then.

Ah, a temporary increase. I can't see anywhere that says it's temporary though.

To use rollover quota you have to be on a rollover Combo, so if you drop to the $9 Combo then your rollover quota will be frozen.  The good news is that it doesn't disappear though, so when you go back on a qualifying rollover Combo the quota will be available again.

When you cancel your Combo you stop it from renewing but the quota is still available until it's expiry date.

If you purchase a new Combo then it starts immediately, so if there is an overlap then you would have a period where quota from both Combos is active.  It doesn't wait until the original expiry date.

For ease of use you can register your credit card and then setup an auto top-up just before your Combo is due to renew or if your balance drops below a certain amount.

The increased data on the $26 and $16 Combos is a promotion until 4th Sept.
