Anybody brought one of these? The only supplier I can find in NZ is Steelfort, supplying Worx powertools.

They have a mini circular saw (model = wx424.1), but it's not exactly what I want. I'd much rather have a plunger type, but they don't seem to be available here.

Anyone else brought one here? (either plunger or fixed)

What are you using this for? If tou are trying to do little tight cuts I would recommend getting a multi tool (as seen on tv). I thought they were a bit of a gimmick when I saw it on tv but we got one for work and it is so handy for doing all the tricky cuts. Don't get the bosch multi tool. Look for the brand that is advertised on TV as you get heaps more attachments. The bosch only comes with 3.

Haven't used that exact type, but I have a similar Ryobi one

At Bunnings they have the Ryobi, and a couple of others.

As for Worx products, most Mitre10s/Mitreo10 Megas sell them, it's their next step up from the Cobra range

They should be able to do a pre-order if you needed one?

Oh, and as above, the as seen on TV multitool, if you want a quality version of that, the Bosch oscillating multi-tool from Bunnings for $99, with better components/warranty/consumer guarantees act. Ie no need to send it back, Bunnings will usually replace on the spot if it breaks

We got the bosch one at work and I got the as seen on tv one at home. If i changed the blue casing on the handyman for the green of the bosch i dont think you could tell the difference. Granted some of the 30 odd attachments i dont think anyone would ever use, it is better than the 3 you get from bosch.

Just after more precision than my regular circular saw, without having to shell out for a better full sized one. The ability to do plunge cuts would be a bonus.

I don't like the look of the oscillating tools. Seem kind of rough, and would have the 'ability' to slip easily. With a circular saw you rest it against whatever you're cutting which means you can brace it a bit. With the oscillating type saws you can only really brace against the item with your hand.
