I was in bunnings and mitre 10 today looking for a table saw that will also take a router.

Both had plenty of table saws but only one, bunnings had one with appropriate cutouts and mounting holes on the table itself.

That was a ryobi and of course they sell other ryobi lines. I looked at the routers and none seemed to be able to fit the hole pattern in the table. Not even the ryobi!

I asked the staff and they told me that they used to have a ryobi router that would fit the table but that it had been discontinued!

So, I bought another router and will play with it over the weekend in order to decide if I think that I can make up a mount for it. If I can, I can go back for the table.

Unless anyone has any other suggestions for a source of such a combo?

Or even if anyone has an old ryobi router that would fit the saw table that i can buy and would like to swap it for a brand new router?

I mounted a new Bosch router to an old Ryobi table saw recently, didn't fit, but was an easy enough fix. Took the plastic foot off the router (of course), made a paper template of the 5 screw holes in the router base and the central cutout, lined up the cutout in the table saw and drilled 5 holes through the saw top, countersink them and that was that. Easy!

I am no woodworking expert, if I recall the triton range ( I bought from Placemakers ) could take routers and skillsaw, I just used the saw.
If it was set up properly it worked well but was a pain to set up and pull apart every time you use it.
I did not have the router attachment
I am sure someone like the tool shed will have something suitable but you will pay a bit more, will probably last a lot longer too.
