Re a builders report, there is one tile that is cracked, but not all the way through. Two storey house. Is it a relatively easy job for a contractor to whip up there and replace it? Or is this a have to do this and have to do that so its expensive? I'm not sure how close to the edge it is

Edit: Monier, 25 degree pitch, is over the garage which isnt on the top storey. House is 5 years old

Should be a straight forward fix. They're not hard to replace. And it if it isn't cracked the whole way through and access is tricky you could leave the job until there is another reason to go up on the roof and fix it then.

I just fixed a handful of tracked/broken tiles on my roof the other day with a tube of silicon. I'll replace them later on down the road.

depends on if the height and safety rules apply as that can get expensive quickly either with the need for scaffolding or through the use of harnesses.

I can see that. Its on the one portion that is not the two story area, over what is part of the garage, so thats a help

problem is anything over 2m (i believe that is the limit) is deemed to be at height :(

if you access inside the roof the tile is on - its a half hour job with no external work required
