Hi, I'm looking for a local electrician to repair/replace one of our wall socket which exploded in the weekend. We also would like to get a quote to install new lights in the dining area and also a quote to install TV on the wall including wiring etc.
I'm not after a big expensive company, would like a recommendation for a local bloke so I can go back to him in the future when I need and support local community.

Have used them on a few jobs for me and they have always delivered great service and advice.

Electricians and trades people are so precious lately. In the last 3 month I contacted 5 different people, all of which promised either to call back or come and none did. Initially I kept calling back and re-making appointments, only to get yet another frustration when they do not show up, but with the last few I simply give up after the very first broken promise. It seems that they have that great choice of jobs to take that customer satisfaction is simply not a priority.

I'm happy to find this thread, as I might try these two recommended companies, may be I have a better luck with them, than with people before.

Ryan from Allworkz Electrical is local, and does an excellent job at a fair price. He can be a bit hard to get hold of though.

We've had good experiences with http://dnaelectrical.co.nz/ at both home (full rewire, then lighting, then minor tidy up/ethernet installation) and work (data/power/lighting for an office of ≈10 people). Nice guys to deal with, and good communication.
