I'm making some home automation sensors and want to get a little case printed that i've found on thingiverse.  Looking online everyone is wanting to charge $40 minimum.

 

Do you know anyone in Auckland that can do a 1 off 3d print for a reasonable price?  I would love to buy my own printer but can't justify the use of it at this stage.

$40 seems more than reasonable to me, considering the mucking about to get your part printed , packaged up & sent out
You may get lucky & find someone who will do it for free .

Actually i've done some more digging on 3d printing services and found 3DHubs.com which connects you with people all over the world including here in NZ and better yet Auckland to print stuff.  $10 with me able to pick it up is exactly what i'm after!  Thanks for the offer though @Ge0rge.  

 

I guess "all that mucking around" is still worth something, just not $40!  wink

The National Library in Wellington offers a 3D printing service but it's a bit low res, and the objects I got printed there were not defined enough for them to feel they could charge me!  Hopefully in time they'll upgrade to better printers.
