Does anyone know if there is a brand of USA to AU/NZ plug adaptor that has an earth prong?  I bought a cheap one at Bunnings and although it has an earth prong the robot mower charger doesn't like it (It won't stay on).  I am using a 110 volt step down transformer with a USA plug input in the meantime although the charger accepts 110 to 240 volt.

So it accepts between 110 and 240 volts and is earthed? Chop the plug off, put on a proper NZ plug and scrap the step down transformer.

Thanks very much for the wiring conversion, If the adapter is from china could it have different wire colours?

Potentially
Though they usually use the colors of the destination country.

Its pretty simple with a multimeter in continuity test mode to see what color refers to which prong on the plug you cut off.

If in any doubt get an electrician to check it, its not worth dying over or causing a fire!
