Zeon: What about running conduit to all outlets with extra draw cable. Can easily run any kind of new cable in the future?

Not sure that it would be worth the cost of conduit, probably better just to focus on drilling oversize holes in the studs, vertically in-line, and with a draw cable

Like you I am also starting a new build, and after I had the sparky (house company provided) advise me that running Cat6/5 was a waste of time I am obviously doing it myself... of note the subdivision I am in is Fibre only.

Now two weeks away from starting but landed this a while back ready to install http://www.hdconnectivity.com/matrix/4x4-hdmi-matrix-hdbaset-hd-anywhere.html and setting up a cupboard to keep it all clean.
