I run a Davis vantage vue that has seen winds up to 110 kph. The vue has some trade offs against the pro, mainly that all the sensors are integrated. Davis don't raise this as an issue, and in reality if I was to buy a pro I would mount it the same way as a vue anyway. Think I paid $700 nzd for it but check out the prices on the Davis nz site mentioned above. You may be able to get it slightly cheaper at scientificsolutions.co.nz
All that said the vue gets used in storm chasing in the states, due to it's integrated nature so it will take a lot more that 110kph :-)
It's run into weather display, which I run on a pc, however there is a mac version also available. Think it's around 70 dollars but check out weather-display.com
I don't think there is a cumulus mac version available.
If you want some additional feedback from others using different solutions in nz, then try a post on www.localweather.net.nz
