There are of course hire places but a workshop that was all set up where you could just pay to use a wide selection of tools is an interesting idea. Lots of pitfalls though I'm sure.

They're common ish in the US, but probably not enough people in NZ. Plus liability issues, though they could be worked around.

Good tip - but in Wellington looks like it's a support group not a workshop.

Unfortunately, they are only open on Tuesday (10am-1pm) and Wednesday (12-3pm) so most people on this site are not really the target demographic. (a generalisation)
Pity really.

I emailed them, they said sure it wouldn't be a problem and to give them a call. I can do those times at the moment, as it happens, but not super convenient. Might follow up, might not.
