I got sick of bump feed a long time ago. About 6 years or so ago I replaced the bump feed head on my 2-stroke Talon (Bunnings brand, no longer around I think?) with another one I bought at Bunnings. Can't remember the brand unfortunately, but it take a couple of approx 6" lengths of thick nylon line. You feed them through, across the head, and they're held in by a cleat-type arrangement. An orange coloured one if that helps. Fantastic thing and it was cheap too.
