We've had both wooden ramps and a ramp made by this company. Wood is nice n all but once it's in its final

That's a very good point, if we sell our home it can come with us.

My dad had one added. It was wood.
Yes it could get slippery in frosts (rare where they were).
He never slipped in the wheelchair, my mum slipped walking on it a couple of times though.

Some feed back on this. The ramp was installed this week, the job was done incredibly fast and to a very high standard. It is very easy to use and I am able to propel the chair up the ramp with ease. I will be interesting to try it when one arm is out of commission.
The only very minor issue I have with it is it is a little noisy when folks walk up it.
