I have tried the SwannOne solution - not good, review coming this week. Will be trying the CleverLoop soon - meeting with rep in Wellington this week.

I posted on Rings FB page and got the answer from them as " We are waiting for Windows Phone 10 to do an app" which to me just sounds like they've heard windows phone 10 may be able to run android apps so will wait and see what happens as it's not that far away now
Ring has an app for Windows phone 10 now (At least in the US store which is what's running on my phone)
A friend of mine purchased a Ring doorbell while on holiday in the US. He's installed it and its working so well I've ordered one for myself from their website... it should arrive towards the end of next week.
One feature of the Ring doorbell is that it works with the Samsung Smartthings technology.
BTW their website provides a local NZ number for customer service and instead of the usual canned music while you're waiting on hold, they provide background information about their company and their product range. So, it didn't feel like I had to wait too long.
Techmoan reviewed this a couple of months back.

My RING doorbell arrived today and after giving the battery in the device a super charge was installed and working.
This is the still shot from the video footage.
The Chime - a separate device to ensure that you can hear the doorbell ring around the house - was installed plugged in using the supplied NZ adaptor and it also working.
Finally, as I've also recently installed a Kevo generation 2 deadbolt lock, this has also been integrated so, I can both see who's at my front door and let them me if want.
Still waiting for the additional Chime to arrive and the Samsung Smartthings to further integrate my gadgets together.
Are you sure it integrates with Smartthings? I didn't think it was possible
ordered one last week off ring.com (now in NZD and $5 shipping to NZ, couldnt find one in a Mitre10). coming from Singapore, will be here in a couple of days.
Installed mine last weekend. Pretty good - one door knocker was impressed with it and a couple of girls got the fright of their lives when I started talking to them. Review coming soon.
