Dynamic: Depending on how the lamp holder sits in the base, and if the lamp it something you are keen to give as a gift, you might be able to replace all of the electrical components with locally sourced and correctly rated options.

What he said. If it is that easy for you to remove the fitting, you can probably just replace the whole thing. But you still are not running much risk if you just keep it as it is. I think some people here are overstating the potential dangers. With such a small load, the components will hardly the notice the voltage difference.

Replace holder, switch, plug. Problem solved.

Best option head to a store and get a cheap lamp with all that ready in the form factor required.

As it goes with electrical related topics, lots of do this, do that from many people who most likely don't have any formal electrical training or expirence.

Get an electrician to wire a new cord, switch and lamp holder

Second option is to keep the 110v lamp, and get a small stepdown transformer for it.

They had some cheap transformers for this purpose in Dick Smiths last time I browsed for bargains there

Cheap power transformers would not exactly fill me with confidence either. And what happens when you have to change the bulb?
