So, just to line up the story.

I registered on beforeudig as were suggested and made enquiry explaining the issue. In one day I've got all plans from Wellington Electricity, City Council (linz, water, and waste water), Chorus, and Powerco (gas) (despite I asked gas pipe only, it just submits requests to all parties). For free. So it's really good service. Kudos to notesgnome.

Does anyone know how deep gas pipes are required to be buried? The pipe from the road to your house.

That's what I've found in Vector guide (http://www.odc.govt.nz/media/88646/vectors%20gas%20pipeline%20safety%20guide%20may%202010.pdf)

Our distribution pipes are laid at different depths, varying from 400mm to over 1200mm. Customer service pipes are generally between 450mm and 1000mm deep.
