Never rely on cut and paste on a sunny afternoon! DD Establishment fee of $3 with TSB.

Is the account that your Trustpower DD is processed from fee exempt? One of ours isn't, so perhaps automatically changing the authority from EDNZ to Trustpower causes a fee to be incurred. It's a small amount and not really worth arguing over, but given the circumstances it is annoying.

No fees yeah, but to pay a fee to establish a DD seems stupid. Soon banks will have facial recognition cameras so they can charge you a fee just for walking into a branch..

Should get Trustpower to credit the $3

So we had a phone call today "welcoming" us to Trustpower... which immediately turned to them trying to sell us one of their broadband packages..

Time to switch providers

if you have a smart meter, have a serious look at Electric Kiwi.

We don't have a smart meter unfortunately otherwise I'd switch, it's a rental and my landlord is too cheap to switch to a smart meter

What complicates things further is the we have two meters, controlled/uncontrolled and a lot of power company websites don't cater for this when trying to get a quote. I can use powerswitch but I'd rather not.
