Shame my google home cant control wemos. Might have to look at getting a smart things hub to be a go between.

Same as my Harmony Companion remote. Has 2 light buttons + 2 switch buttons which are currently unused.

I was hoping a smart things hub would do the trick.

Good time to buy smartthings, the hub is down to $50 from the large US stores, and also the smartthings store.

Plus discounts on the sensors etc. purchased by youshop.

Thanks for the heads on these guys. Brought 3 from Bunnings over the weekend and put my first switch on Sunday.
It worked perfectly so now to install the rest.

If the price stays low I'll buy one a month until I get the how house done (this slow drip approach will sneak the cost past the budget controller :) )

Planning to finally get a QNAP NAS for Christmas so will try putting Open HAB or some other controller on that as a VM - how hard can it be.

Has anyone good some links for some good basic documentation - need to plan this properly and see what I can set up.?
Long term I figure I'll tie in the echo (or home once the software matures)
