Biggest issue is washing time my wife hates it still takes 120 on quick wash compared to a top loader 45 mins for a full wash. consumer doesn’t have Westinghouse great machine . I struggled for ages on should you get one with both a cold and hot outlet as on gas infinity working out costs cold inlet was sufficient as the water used is soo minimal , way gentler on the clothes wouldn’t go back to a top loader now

Thanks for all the feedback; ended up purchasing a Bosch WAT24261AU, one of the Consumer-recommended models (and the best-value of these)  - $1261 from Harvey Norman (only retailer of this model). Came with a $100 Prezzy card, so after selling out current machine it'll be less than a grand net to replace it.

In the end, the selling points of the Bosch were the ability to add items within the first hour of a cycle (so a good option, given the topic of this thread!), and that the door opens to a close-to-180 degree angle, meaning it'll be easier to load in the tight space it needs to go (not an issue with a top loader). The Samsung doesn't open nearly as wide...
