blackjack17: I would leave them be. They don't spread disease. They don't attract pests. And they don't damage property. If they get in your way squash them but otherwise summer will take care of them.
As far as pests go they are pretty good ones.
It's probably a good idea but if they were biters or carried disease I would be having second thoughts though! The area they are in is like a courtyard where there is also a door into the house along with sensor lights (which they're attracted to), so it is a entry point really which is what makes them a nuisance. A lot of sweeping if I spray them dead! Now the warmer weather is quickly coming upon us I guess we can wait for them to move away. I'm glad we finally worked out what they were anyway.

Birds and spiders probably clean up more than you are seeing, but if annoying in just one or two parts of the house try using a surface spray on the exterior surrounds?
I've actually found the Mortein auto spray units attached up high to very good as a deterrent to flying things coming into the house in the first place ... I use the Hypoallergenic product and neither us, pets or babies seem to have any adverse reactions ... the small amount of vapour in the air seems to stop the fliers coming in ... nor has any affect on our friendly housebound spiders
