Whats the life span of a butynol roof? I have one on our extension from 1987. No leaks yet.

It would be a lot cheaper putting long run on 20-30 percent cheaper, what is the pitch at the moment? You can get down to 3 degrees with a trapezial profile, 5 degrees if you are wanting corigate. You could put the tin directly on the rubber.

I own a roofing company, if your wanting some advice feel free to pm me with your number and I’ll give you a call.

A rubber roof will last just as long if not longer than a tin roof, especially on flatter pitched roofs.

My experience;

The Butynol was fine the problem was the glue in the seams failing allowing water in.

Fortunately the repairer was able to replace with a single sheet of Butynol eliminating seams(it was a small porch roof).
