No asbestos, all fine in that regard.



When you described the panel as "classic hardboard" what colour is it? The original black material contains asbestos. Some have been replaced with a formica like smooth brown panel that doesn't contain asbestos.

At our beach place the only things left on the old panel outside are the main switch, fuse and smartmeter. The breakers are all in a new panel inside. The lines company seemed quite happy to mount the new meter on the old black panel.

I am not aware of any asbestos in the house, outside is clad with fibre cement board, roof possibly was asbestos at one point but is colour steel now.
